No ounce of doubt in that, Harrier is a bigger product, and based on the legendary landrover Discovery Sport platform. While we love the exteriors, they are spot on, we found the interiors to be a mixed bag and a lost of opportunity here for Tata Motors...

Hello Manish, service quality and experience in India even today is largely dependent on the dealership associates, while all the brands do try to give uniformed service experience, as two people can never be same, experience may largely vary. Having said that, Skoda has put tremendous efforts in improving their service standards, and part availability is not a major concern any more.

Hey Manish, some quick questions, did you drive the Jeep Compass in Petrol or Diesel? Also are you looking for a petrol SUV or Diesel? Is off roading your key requirement? Is Diesel is your requirement and off-roading is your need, than Jeep Compass is the best bet out there. While we are expecting the new Compass to come in soon, as the current one is too old in the tooth now, but we are not sure whether Jeep is going to announce it this year or early next year. However, if Petrol is your requirement and you are looking for a SUV for urban drives, then the Karoq with its 1.5 litre Tsi and DSG combination is the best out there. It feels outright premium and like any other Skoda, is well built.

Through this video, we wanted to bring out key parameters/difference that you as a buyer should look out for while choosing between Compass vs Karoq. For Jeep as well as Skoda, neither the Compass nor the Karoq are top of the line SUV’s they today are your entry points to the brand. Features like HUD, add up to the cost, hence manufacturers avoid giving these features in their entry point products. As far as cooled glovebox is concerned, both the products get cooled glovebox 😊

Hello Madhumanti, both the cars come with annual services, which is around every 15000 kms or 1 year whichever is earlier. Expect the normal service cost without any part changes to be around 12k on the lower side to 15k on the higher side. Both the brands offer pick up and drop service and now in covid times, option to pay online also.

motoriseinc yeah. I tried compass as well, but I liked Karoq’s performance more and especially paddles (I’m no off-road enthusiast). Plus you see so many compass on road as ita cheaper and base model starts at 20L OTR, while karoq is exclusive to just 1 top end variant which gives it a more premium nature IMO. Yes, we agree that Compass has better rear suspension, we were not doing technical comparison here, neither are we saying Compass is Bad or Karoq is Good. However, here we were trying to build personalities of people who would probably enjoy the Compass or Karoq. However, we have taken your feedback, and will try to incorporate fresher and few technical pointers also.

motoriseinc Thanks for responding. May be video is beneficial for novice. You have chosen obvious points. If Karoq comes in diesel I am sure you won't complain about nvh, anyways not to discourage but to improve the quality of content. Wish you the best.

Vamsi daniyala karoq is better in performance 0-100 in 8.4 seconds flat, has more features, ride is good even w/o independent rear (compass is better off road obviously). For those looking for luxury & performance, karoq is the one & for those looking for off-roading, compass is better. Also, karoq is exclusive & comes in only 1 top end trim which makes its road presence & uniqueness better.
